Wic Program Help For Single Moms
One of the ways that single moms are limited is in income. No matter how much money you make in your job, you only have one income. Financial help is available if you know where to look, and one possible option for you to consider is the Woman, Infants and Children program, which is commonly called WIC.
WIC is available for families that have children who are five or younger and for pregnant and breastfeeding women. In order to qualify for WIC, you must have a limited income. However, the income limits for WIC are higher than the income limits for many other state programs, such as Medicaid. Also, family size is considered in the income guidelines. In other words, if you have three kids, you could make more money than a mom with two kids and still qualify.
