Throw A Book Club Party Worth Writing About

Book clubs are a great way to get friends and families together and catch up on reading. Whether you are into non-fiction, romance, how-to’s or fantasy; a book club can quench your thirst for reading. However, when you gather everyone together for that weekly or monthly book club party, you may find that the guests are in need of something a little more substantial than tomes and poems. That’s where this handy book club menu comes in.

Beetroot - Treatment For Fevers And Constipation

It is thought that the beetroot evolved from wild sea beet (Beta vulgaris sub species maritima). Wild sea beet grows all over the coastlines of Europe and Western Asia and has rather small unappetising roots. The plant was sometimes used as a food but this would have mainly been the leaves and stems rather than the root. However references in around 300 BC claim the Greek cultivation of the plant where varieties of beet plants with edible roots were grown. It is difficult to accurately date the beetroot as unlike seeds and grains, roots and leaves rot away leaving no trace for archaeologists to study.

Fast Food - Direct And Indirect Harm

The dangers of fast food come in two types. There are the obvious dangers posed by the high fat and calorie content of fast foods. There are also some hidden dangers rarely considered.

When a person is told that fast food is not good for them from a nutritional point of view, he is hardly surprised. The relationship between fast food and the almost epidemic obesity of the American population is a fairly well known fact. Still, the factors that make fast food so popular still seem to be powerful enough to make the majority of the population ignore the obvious risks of poor nutrition and weight problems. Fast food is easily available, relatively cheap, most people find it tasty and filling and it can be purchased fast.

A Few Steps To Good Grilling

There’s nothing better than a perfectly grilled juicy steak.

But it is a mystery to me how to duplicate that restaurant quality, melt-in-your mouth, exactly how you like it steak.

Well heres the thing, I recently found out how to achieve that perfectly grilled steak.

Number 1. Choose your meat very carefully!!! Lean meat does not do well. You want a piece that has good marbling. And these are good cuts: fillet (mignon), top loin (rib eye) - these are the same as the ones you love in the restaurant.

The Glen Ferris Inn Of Gauley Bridge - Restaurant Review

Pricing and menu offerings may vary.

Located at the junction of US 60 and SR 16 on the Kanawha River, Gauley Bridge is a picture postcard in real life. Situated in the mountains, this small city is an open treasure chest for history buffs. You can fish or picnic at the park just down from the Glen Ferris Inn. The falls are just beautiful and the air is crisp and clean, often cool even in August. The drive over is part of the fun of visiting Gauley Bridge, following the twisty road from Fayetteville. Take advantage of the scenic view pull-offs, and bring plenty of film. On your return trip, stop in Ansted and visit Hawk’s Nest State Park. The view is breathtaking and the hotel first class. I contend that there isn’t a more peacefully beautiful spot in the South.
