Tarot Card Meanings - The Hanged Man
The Major Arcana has some very interesting cards in it. One of those is The Hanged Man. This is another card that is often misinterpreted. Contrary to what some believe, it has nothing to do with stringing up somebody, though the consequences of this card reversed could be almost as serious. This article is going to give you the meanings of this card in both its normal and reversed states. I hope these explanations clear up any confusion that you might have.
The Hanged Man, in its normal state, shows that the subject is able to look beyond what is currently before him. The subject shows great foresight. This is almost like a sixth sense. The subject is able to find solutions to problems that most people wouldn’t find.
The card also could meant that there are some unexpected changes that are going to take place at one’s home or place of business. It is important that the subject be prepared for these changes as they can come at any time and without warning.
In reverse, this card can be quite unnerving. For the most part, it shows that the subject is surrounded by false securities and is basically living in a house of cards that could come falling down around him at any time. The subject is needs to get out from these false securities and recognize his own abilities.
This card could also indicate that the subject will meet a person who appears to have good intentions but is really looking to take advantage of the subject. So it is important to make sure this person is who he appears to be before trusting him.
In general, the subject is content with the present situation and not looking to better himself. Also he could be preoccupied with material matters.
The Hanged Man can be a very dangerous card if ignored. The warnings of this card are very real and should be taken very seriously.
