The Beauty Of Scrapbooking A Baby Album
There is truly something magical about scrapbooking a baby album. It is about capturing every moment, every experience, every success and even every failure. This is the one time in their life when they are really seeing and trying everything for the first time, and have no idea what they are doing, or what might happen. These are also the times people will forget, and the baby never even remembers. It is these moments best captured on film, and then gives you the reason to start scrapbooking a baby album.
Starting your baby album should really be done right away. This time goes by so fast, before you know it they are 2-3 months, and you are already behind. Maybe you even forgot to take some of the pictures, like the first time they rolled over, or sat up, or smiled. Or, maybe you did capture these moments, but just have the pictures still on the computer or in a box. Get these pictures into a baby album! It does not do any good to take pictures and then not display then for everyone’s enjoyment, including you own.
You can start by keeping these pictures organized by weeks (only early on, after 6 months, then you can start by months). This way you will have a fairly easy time scrapbooking this baby album, and keeping everything in order.
You could even have one of the lists that provide all of the events your baby will be doing, and about when they will be trying to do them. This will help to remind you what you need to take a picture of.
Always keep the camera handy. And for heaven’s sake, don’t worry about what others might be saying about your picture taking. You are doing this for you and your baby. Not someone else who never even took any pictures of their child, and now does not want you to either. Sound familiar?
You baby album does not need to be one of the fancy ones, where it takes 4 hours to do one page. Your goal should be to get the pictures into the album, with the dates and events that happened. If you want to spice it up, or you enjoy doing, then go for it. Just don’t get hung up on the thought every page needs to be perfect. Perfection is impossible, and really just a reason for procrastination. Get going!
You will have so much fun with your baby album. And when your baby grows up, they will appreciate the fact you took so much time for them. Now, they can look back at themselves and laugh and see where they learned it. There really is nothing like scrapbooking a baby album.
