How To Win The Battle Against Procrastination In Your Mind?
“Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.”
~~ Mark Twain ~~
Start to have a more fulfilling and more satisfying life by being dead serious about overcoming procrastination.
And you know what? The best place to announce your war against procrastination is nowhere but in your head - in your very own mind.
That is also the very exact place where you will decide if your war against procrastination is won or lost.
In actual fact, to overcome procrastination is nothing difficult. Really! All you will need to do is to retool your attitude towards life and success.
Many successful people whom I know of are about to succeed so quickly in their fields is because of their ability to approach a job or project with positive attitudes.
Your attitude towards life or any tasks at hand does play a great part in determining your success.
Now, let me ask you a question. Do you like your circumstances to dictate when you can complete a task? Are you always waiting for the “right” moment to do what you should do?
If you answered a “YES!” to the above question, please allow me to tell you something truthfully - It will be hard for you to succeed in life.
Yup, I said that and I have no intention of taking back my words. Hate me if you will but that is what I sincerely think.
I will not lie to you that you will still be able to succeed with that sort of attitude or try to sugar coat anything.
Being successful is a science not an art. And science always comes with formulas to follow. Procrastinating and leaving your tasks to the “next day” is not part of the success formula.
Also, how you view your past is very important. Is your past a prison to you or a lesson to you?
Many procrastinators tend to get trapped in their past, constantly reliving in their failures and allowing them to diminish their self confidence and self esteem. Does that sound familiar?
And what successful people do differently is that they always treat failures as temporary defeats. To them, there are no failures in life, only learning opportunities.
And in addition to having the correct attitude in life, having a more resourceful perception of life will also greatly aid you in your quest to success.
So what are your bring home lessons for today?
- Never wait for the “right” moment. If you were really looking for the “right” moment, then it shall be NOW! Not tomorrow.
- Believe in yourself. Have the confidence to tell others that your projects will be successful if you are willingly to give in all your best in the projects.
- Now let me tell you something, opportunities are really good at disguising themselves. Learn to ask more quality questions for with them will come more quality answers. Use these quality answers to help you turn your failures into success.
- Stay focus on what you are doing NOW and not what you should have done in the past. Be in the present for that is what you have NOW!
“Be not the slave of your own past”
~~ Ralph Waldo Emerson~~
